Get Connected
Where do I start to get connected?
Everyone can do something to serve our community, our city, and our world! Not because Mosaic needs positions to be filled, but because everyone needs to live fulfilled lives by using our unique personalities, strengths, and gifts to care for and encourage others.
Would I really make a difference?
The name of our community comes from the diversity of the people in the community and from the symbolism of a broken and fragmented humanity which can become a work of beauty under the artful hands of God. Your unique piece in this art form is needed for the overall work of art that we call Mosaic. Your uniqueness, your heart, your passion, your willingness to serve others, and allow others to serve you, regardless of where you are in your spiritual journey, is welcomed.
I’m ready! Who can I talk to?
A list of our connection opportunities and leaders is below. You can contact people directly or come to the After Party immediately following our gathering to learn more.
Goodie Goodloe, Campus Pastor and Connection leader from the South Bay Gathering, says, “Connection is a great place to start if you want to discover and use your innermost passions as it relates to your faith journey. Connection is not a team that focuses on giving information, but rather we are a vibrant group of people who thrive on having healthy conversations with people about their hopes and dreams, interests and goals to connect them with others on a team suited to their uniqueness.”

The Connection Team’s goal is to help people get connected to the community at Mosaic. We want everyone to feel and be connected from the first time they join us at the gathering to meeting new guests at the Hot Spot after the gathering. Time commitment: 4hrs/week

The Ambiance team is responsible for the overall feel of our gatherings. We work with the connection, artisan and live production team to create a welcoming environment each Sunday.

Next Step is here to help you get connected. Next Step is a liaison to assist you in moving beyond the Sunday gathering and into the week, through community groups, coffee conversations, Mosaic events, and more. Think of it as your own personal concierge, helping you find ways to build your relationship with God and with others! Time Commitment: A conversation.

Live Production creates a dynamic environment for authentic worship and effective communication during the gatherings. It is comprised of a team of directors, sound engineers, video/media controllers, and stage managers, whose responsibility it is to work with the Artisans, Ambiance, and Set-up teams — all while creating genuine community. We look forward to serving with you! Time commitment: one Sunday a month and one team meeting per month

The music team comes together at least once weekly to dream up Mosaic South Bay’s musical aspect of worship. This partly includes leading in song from the stage on Sunday evenings, but our community group gathers at other times throughout the week to encourage one another through life as we share our common appreciation of the gift of music. We are always looking to bring new people into what we do, so please don’t hesitate to get in contact! Time commitment varies project to project but is typically 1-5 hours per week.

Serve South Bay works to advance the message of faith, love and hope through service and outreach in the surrounding community. We believe in sharing each others’ burdens and lifting up the forgotten ones; by partnering with existing organizations we seek to identify and meet those immediate and long-term needs. Whatever your passions and abilities, there’s a way for you to get involved! Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week, 6 hours per month.

Mosaic’s family and kids ministry is a great way to get involved with the many families of Mosaic. The Kids group serves the 5-10 age range with a variety of activities.

Community Groups meet during the week and focus on developing relationships and deepening community through shared experiences. We hope to create an environment that facilitates authentic friendships through discussion around the Scriptures, books, prayer and life. Time Commitment 2-3 hours per week.

FORGE, at Mosaic, launches community groups, sporting events, dinners, lunches, breakfasts, trips, and recovery groups throughout the year to make sure no man faces their journey in life without support, encouragement, and true brotherhood. Time Commitment: up to you!
