Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Providing one-on-one mentoring relationships for over 50 years to children all over the world. BBBS consists of two mentoring programs. The first is the ‘Community Based Mentoring Program’ where you meet two times a month for 2 to 4 hours, doing activities of your choice (go to the park, a museum, play video games, etc.). The second is the ‘School Based Program’ where you meet at school with the child once a week for an hour.

BBBS is usually recommended to the parents of children with at risk youth. 90% of the children are living in households under the poverty line and more than 75% are from single parent or guardian homes.

This is a 1 year commitment, however, due to the flexibility of schedule and the one-on-one relationship that is built many ‘Bigs’
choose to continue in the program for long after their commitment.

There is a specifically large need for men in their 20’s and 30’s.
However all are welcome.
