The Protégé Program

What is Protégé?

Protégé A unique two year training program involving multi-dimensional training for emerging leaders in a dynamic church environment known for its creativity, diversity, and missional focus.

The three primary elements of the Protégé Program:

LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE

  • Develop valuable leadership skills through leading and serving 20+ hours/week
  • Learn from a fusion of entrepreneurs, innovators, artisans, and communicators
  • Engage ongoing learning labs facilitated by seasoned leaders, both from Mosaic and from outside voices
  • Participate in weekly protégé meetings and small group interactions
  • Attend Origins, Awaken, and Ethos as well as other Mosaic leadership events such as Yelo and the Leadership Advance

    CHARACTER TRANSFORMATION

  • Engage new paradigms of character-transformation and spiritual formation
  • Build strong relationships with coaches and mentors to help equip you to live from a healthy core and develop emotional and relational health
  • Elevate the value of character over talent as you learn from a church that prioritizes this conviction
  • Serve faithfully in areas of ministry that are entrusted to you, as you absorb the depth of what it means to become a servant leader
  • Live out the value of accountability as you share your lives openly and honestly with fellow protégés and ministry leaders
  • THEOLOGICAL EDUCATION

  • Receive a Master’s Degree from Golden Gate Seminary in Theological Studies with a concentration in Global Leadership
  • Engage in unique learning environments that include interactive dialogue about theology, participatory classroom and online discussions, and innovative conferences
  • 50% of courses taught by Mosaic Paid Staff (including Erwin McManus)
  • 50% of courses taught by Golden Gate Professors

    Step 2: Apply to Golden Gate

    Apply online at Golden Gate Seminary for a $35 fee. Choose the Brea Campus in Southern California and the MATS degree.
